Defining Personal Success
A self guided course helping you find your personal definition of success
In our society, success is commonly defined in a very concrete and accomplishment-driven manner. It's often perceived as a binary state that fits all people and all cases. That’s not really fair or appropriate for the vast majority of people. Another way to think about success is from the internal/personal perspective, where we set personal goals and measure our success based on our progress towards those goals.
If we don't spend time thinking about the why of our goals, it is very hard for us to recognize the accomplishment of getting closer to what we aspire. As a result, we revert to societal views of success as a black-and-white question, overlooking the progress we make. In this course we’ll focus on recognizing that success is a culmination of small steps forward and occasional setbacks.

Switching Off the Binary View
Now that we know what’s important to us, how well we’re able to achieve it is also not black and white. There's a spectrum of what we can achieve every day. Knowing what is on our spectrum helps us understand how successful we are in accomplishing the things we set out to do. In this lesson we’ll create your personal chart to understand how your values fit on the spectrum.
